Medical Cable Assembly RFQ Guide for OEM Device Projects

Medical device cable assemblies need clear requirements because the application often involves repeated movement, compact routing, clean labeling and stable electrical performance.

What Engineers Should Define

Start with the connector part number, mating interface, cable length, wire gauge, jacket material, shielding need and expected use environment. If a drawing is not ready, a sample plus pinout table can still help the supplier review manufacturability.

For handheld or diagnostic equipment, confirm bend radius, strain relief, cleaning exposure, label durability and packaging requirements before sample approval.

Quotation Checklist

A useful RFQ includes drawings, target quantity, expected annual usage, inspection method, continuity test requirements and any special packaging. This helps engineering and purchasing compare suppliers on the same basis.
